Perhaps it’s time to try something new. Have you ever considered a natural approach to conquering these ailments?
Reiki is a Japanese holistic practice that uses a series of light-touch hand positions to restore energy flow within the body. In the process it’s been known to reduce stress, increase relaxation and promote healing.
At a Reiki session, the receiver will lie down on the treatment table and should be dressed in loose, comfortable clothing. The Reiki practitioner will either go through a series of hand positions or use an intuitive approach, depending on their style. Their hands will be gently on or slightly above your body. While it may sound similar, Reiki is not massage.
According to the Canadian Reiki Association, many people who have experienced Reiki have described feeling cold or warm sensations, tingling feelings and senses of calm and relaxation during the session. The results vary following a session, but people have cited that chronic or acute pain has diminished or disappeared and allergies have vanished. Other common results include feeling more balanced, relaxed, alert, energetic, creative and less stressed and emotional.
More than just a physical treatment, it’s also a state of mind. There needs to be a mental openness and willingness towards the treatment if you want to notice a difference. Reiki has been surrounded with much scepticism, but after experiencing it, many clients continue to return.
